A Strategic Vision for Austin Public Schools
At Austin Public Schools, we are preparing all learners to make a difference in the world. We strive to create an inclusive environment where every student has the support they need to become the best version of themselves.
We are proud of our students and dedicated to our mission to inspire, empower and accelerate. With enrollment expected to grow more than 15% over the next 10 years, our student population is rapidly increasing at a time when many rural school districts are facing declines in enrollment.
Our Long-Term STrategic Plan
To guide our district’s future, the Austin School Board approved a long-term strategic plan focused on four primary goals:
Provide support and resources to ensure a safe and welcoming learning environment.
Create a “Packer Profile” for all learners, which includes building strong character qualities – responsibility, resiliency, learner, communicator, and contributor.
Ensure district-wide, multi-tiered systems of support for all learners.
Demonstrate efficient and equitable management of dollars and resources.
